Rutgerson spiked toothed stainless steel rings are used on all of our sails for maximum corner strength. All corners are also heavily reinforced with radial panels to give lighter and stronger sails. Batten pockets are double machined and their outboard ends have strong velcro retaining tabs with extra tie retainers on battens over 4 feet.

Initial indications are that these new suncovers will last for up to 10 years, rather than the 4 years which seems quite the 'norm' with a light weight dacron.

These new sails will have a marginally heavier cover (4.5oz) compared to the 3.9oz dacron normally fitted, but if a lighter performance option is required then we suggest the sail is without the external cover but an acrylic luff sock is always used to protect the sail from weathering.
